Who Won The UK Apprentice Final?

Last Sunday the winner of the 2010 UK series of the apprentice was announced. The two to make it to the final, Stella and Chris were deemed by Sir Allan to be the most savy business people having proved their mettle in a variety of different tasks over the ten week period. The two contestants in the final showdown were joined by people that were fired in previous weeks by Sir Allan as the once bitter rivals united in a cause to help their captain win the final.

The final task consisted of a brief that dictated contestants should come up with their own brand of new alcoholic drink. While this may sound like a bit of fun, and a task that would involve much boozy research at the pub, the teams found it soberingly challenging as they attempted to come up with a unique brand.

Car leasing deals were the last thing to cross the contestants minds as Chris and his team concocted a brainwave, a pommegranate flavoured liquor presented in an ornate triangular bottle. Meanwhile Stella’s group pushed through the idea of Urbon, a bourbon drink for a young, urban market.

Each team also recorded a TV advert, these were 30 second shorts but did not have the clout of an ad promotinglease vansboth ads were good in their own right and satisfied the brief. As well as this, teams were required to make a presentation to a room full of industry experts about their drinks, they faced a grilling after which both coped with very well.

Both Chris and Stella did a great job, which even Sir Allan had to admit, this was evident from his indecision about who to employ. While he said Chris lacked experience, like people who buy people carriers don’t have much experience in buying cars, he certainly saw his potential. Stella’s professional demeanour and ability to lead was greatly admired by Lord Sugar.
