My one year old is afraid of the bath …?
Before I give him baths in the baby bath with Spa jets on top of the bathroom counter, and she loved it! We moved into a new house with wooden furniture espresso and did not want them to ruin when water soaks into the counters while giving her a bath so I thought this would be the perfect time to get her used to the bath. I tried make the transition as smooth as possible, placing her baby in the bathtub for bathing, but she is deadly afraid. I thought it was just one day and it was difficult, but I gave him another day and it is the same. She cried more've never heard her cry. I do not want to create a phobia for it. This is very normal, a new house and a new Tubby. It isn't soon all for her to go into the deep end. As others have said, you can get into the bath, if possible, while father is at home so that may have outside the tub and the two of you can try to soften in the bath.
