Can you see inside the buidings on Sims 3 on PC?

I do not know weather it is just on my computer but are you allowed to see inside buildings such as hospitals, Spa, bookstore etc. because I can only see in museums art and gym. it seems a little strange that EA released a game so that you can get out there and you can not even see them!

You are allowed to enter certain buildings, like the library and the gym, where there are lots of things to do, but not most community buildings.
