How do I bleed my Spa after servicing the filters?
I Cal Spa with a filter near the pump and another filter size near the skimmer. The filter near the skimmer is above the waterline. I'm not sure how remove the air above it. When I run the filter from the filter chamber has suction so it attracts a little more air when I opened the valve drain. If I open the room and try to fill with water pipe water flows down into the skimmer. I called Cal Spas and (despite what their ads) they do not support spas before 2000. Mine is a 1990 SP-3 8'x8 '. When I run I hear the jet pump on the occasion of hunger for air and throwing down.
The filter is supposed to be on the discharge side of the pump so that remains under pressure while the pump is running. There should be a screen on the suction side. The sequence is – skimmer – screen – pump – filter – jet.
