Are scripts / scripts written in a certain font or format?

I know it sounds stupid to ask, but I also write screenplays for "movies." I always realized that professional scripts are written in a font similar to each other. I wondered what kind of Fony or format it is called.

Not I can help you with the source, but the format is basically what goes on the computer works with the screen (like fade quietly and let others know what is happening and what to do) and use a font large enough for anyone to see, and double space and / or color code the lines so that people can distinguish between their lines and "other.
