Hey, I'm originally from Brisbane and I have loads of family in the GC and we go there at least once every two months so that we know a lot about it:) Well, another answerer said about the water parks. I would say that if you go to install in, Wet n Wild is close to Movie World and White Water World is close to Dreamworld. I know that you can even get "two worlds in one" pass for Dreamworld & White Water World, but there is so much to do in Dreamworld that sometimes you do not want to leave! But make sure you have time to relax, go to the beach, because when the opportunity presents itself to you to go to the beach, always take it. No matter how many times you summer! 
Plus, the views overlooking the ocean from the Gold Coast are beautiful. Hope this helps! x
