JOSEPH HENRY "Joe Garagiola, SR. He was a receiver in the majors that became an announcer and presenter television was very popular for his colorful personality. Born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in a neighborhood known as "The Hill", not far from where I lived Yogi Berra. when he started playing Garagiola with the Columbus Red Birds at the age of 17 years. It started in the majors in 1946. Mediocre was the word to describe playing baseball skills. He has three books to his credit, Baseball is a funny game published in 1960, a collection of humorous anecdotes on his education and baseball career, the same type of style that was his trademark as a broadcaster. Is Anyone published Ballgame in 1980) and Just Play Ball in 2007. Garagiola KMOX began broadcasting in 1955-1962, after it began advertising on NBC and remained in the network for almost 30 years. He has been honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame's Ford Frick Award (1991) for outstanding achievements in broadcasting.

  MEREDITH FORREST TUCKER was born in Plainfield, Indiana in 1919. He began his career as an interpreter at the Chicago World's Fair in 1933. Wicker chairs pushed tourists during the day and sang "throw money" at night. His family then moved to Washington, DC, where he was hired by the owner of the old Burlesque Theater joy after winning the amateur contest on Saturday night. After winning the second time he was master of ceremonies, even when it was discovered that a minor was dismissed. In 1939, Tucker went to California and auditioned for film roles. His role as Wade Harper in The Westerner (1940). Columbia Pictures made to take notice of it (the fight scene with Gary Cooper). I signed. In 1941, his first Starring role was in emergency landing and in 1942 co-starred in the classic film, Keeper of the Flame. World War II he enlisted happened and Tucker, not to resume his acting career until 1946, when he appeared in The Awakening and some scenes from Never Say Goodbye. Images Republic was signed in 1948 and played an important role in the sands of Iwo Jima.   Omar Nelson Bradley was born in Clark, Missouri in 1893. He was one of the top commanders of U.S. Army field during the Second World War and an Army General in the U.S. Army. After the war ended Bradley was the head of the Veterans Administration for two years. He did much to help the health care system and also helped veterans received educational benefits under the GI Bill of Rights. In 1948 he was the Chief of Army of Staff and President Truman appointed him the first head of the Joint Chiefs in 1949. In 1950 he became general of the Army. It was the last man to reach the 20 century that range. In addition, in 1950 he became the first president of the Military Committee of NATO. He retired in 1953. ALICE ROOSEVELT LEE LONGWORTH "Princess Alice" as it was dubbed by the American people, was the eldest son of President Theodore Roosevelt, was born in 1884 in New York. Two days after his Birth his mother died. She was treated later by his sister of Theodore Bami until remarried, and his second wife, Edith, took over of raising their first child. Alice was unconventional and controversial. She was (almost) a lifelong Republican until the civil unrest during the late 1950-decade 1970. As support for Kennedy in 1964 and was supporting Bobby Kennedy in 1968. But she again became a Republican, voting for Richard Nixon in his campaign for the White House. Alice died in 1980 of emphysema and pneumonia. He was 96.

  ABRAHAM LINCOLN 16th President of the America was born in Hardin County, Kentucky in 1809. He was a country lawyer, an Illinois state senator (1847-1849), and twice a candidate for the Senate U.S. (Without success). In 1860, Lincoln won the Republican nomination and was elected president. (1861-1865) During his tenure of the Confederate States of America was defeated in the Civil War, issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, and urged the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution. Six days after General Lee surrender Lincoln became the first president and became the first president to be assassinated (1865).

  Louisa Catherine Johnson Adams was born in 1775 in London, England. She was the wife of John Quincy Adams, who made his First Lady of the United 1.825 to 1.829 U.S.. She was the only female first born outside the United States. (D. 1852)
