
Your emotional health and your relationships
Your relationships are affected by your emotional health. You are emotionally healthy the more your relationships are with others. The best thing you can do for your spouse, family and loved ones is to take care of you. Here are some tips on how take care of you so that you can take better care of others:
1. Your emotional health requires you to listen your emotions – Even if you can not afford to be controlled by your emotions, they are often an indicator of how you handle the stress of life. If you are experiencing a disproportionate intensity of emotions (fear, anxiety, anger) or, if a particular emotion which seems to dominate you, usually is an indication that something is "out of joint" in the way you think and approaching your life and relations.
You can chat with a close friend or your partner the emotions you are dealing with. Often, they will be able to help you identify where emotions are coming from. Ultimately, this is what you meditate on that determines your feelings. Your life will always go in the direction of most of dominate your thinking.
The Scripture says: "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is just, whatever is pure, while This is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent and praiseworthy-think about such things. Everything you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put it practice. And the God of peace will be with you. "[Philippians 4:8-9]
2. Your emotional health requires that you remove – In the Bible, we read, "Then, because so many people coming and going that they did not even have the chance to eat, he said," Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and rest a little. "[Mark] 6:31 Here we see that after an intense time of ministry, Jesus encouraged his disciples to take the time to recharge and revitalize their heart.
Similarly, it is necessary to have a regular time where you withdraw the demands of life to be with Him. This is when you are able to allow his Spirit and Word to give new impetus and energy in your soul.
3. Your emotional health requires that you wear what yours is - it is easy to the error of the exercise of responsibilities that are not yours. You are not responsible for the Happiness of all. For example, just as you are responsible for your choices and attitudes it is the responsibility of others to choose their behavior and attitudes. It's exhausting to try to carry the weight of the responsibility of others in addition to exercising responsibility for your own life. Jesus said, Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden light. "[Matthew 11:29, 30]
