Today, using the jargon of management has become a fad. You can hear words like customer service and customer relationship in many a conversation. Even if a person profound knowledge, I wanted to know the exact meaning of these terms of management.
I searched the internet and came across a very informative website, www.ibscdc.org. I was delighted to see that the www.ibscdc.org, a range of case studies are available on various management concepts. I read two of their case studies on the customer Relationship Management. They were called "customer relationship management at Harrah's" and "corporate blogs in India: customer relationship Management reinvented?
These case studies helped me develop an understanding of the concept of customer relationship management or CRM and knowledge some of the trends in corporate CRM.
The process of CRM helps companies develop strong relationships with their clients by assessing their needs and behavior. Using the CRM methodology, not only can a company known to customers, it can also get insights into sales, effectiveness of marketing strategies, the dominant trends in the market, etc., etc.. In a word, we can say that CRM helps companies understand the customers and their value.
Going further into the concept, methods of CRM will allow the marketing department of a company to know who their best customers and target their efforts towards them. Knowing the target audience, effective marketing campaigns can be developed and the sales team may also have access to quality leads.
CRM allows companies to improve its telesales through the optimal use information available from various employees and streamline existing processes. In addition, by employing CRM process helps foster individual relationships with customers. In this way, customer satisfaction can be improved and the benefits can be maximized. In addition, the most lucrative customers can be identified and the best services can be placed at their disposal to improve profitability.
However, for CRM to be effective, employees must be provided with means to know and understand their customers. This means that employees must be equipped with information and processes to identify customer needs. If the client needs are effectively met, it must help build a strong relationship between the client and the company.
The case studies on CRM www.ibscdc.org helped me get an idea of the concept as they told stories in real time business in an interesting manner to achieve an understanding of the concept. Studies cases are quite lucid and make interesting reading.
