Lego Star Wars 2010 Game Review: 8096 Emperor Palpatine's shuttle
The last game of Lego Star Wars returns to create a vehicle seen only briefly in the last dramatic moments of Star Wars Episode Three Revenge of the Sith. Emperor Palpatine's shuttle flew over waste Mustafar Lava and rescued a seriously injured a former Jedi who was once known as Anakin Skywalker. Shortly after being brought aboard the ship Anakin, now known as Darth Vader was equipped with his helmet and iconic black dress to keep your body and keep it alive, despite horrific injuries.
Lego 8096, comes with 592 pieces and features of the ship, and four figures. Along with a hard to find the Emperor Palpatine minifig set also features a wounded Darth Vader (probably unique in this series) clone of a pilot to fly the shuttle and a medical droid to meet Vader until they reach the temple of the Emperor on Coruscant.
The transport vehicle, obviously constitutes the main part of this set. The cab driver is opened and the clone can be seated inside. Within the main area of the ship there is room for other figures to sit, and an area where Vader is given medical care. In fact the set of changes to the establishment of the temple mechanical Vader Palpatine's own shuttle and includes a game mechanism to connect the Vader helmet and then lift to horizontal, as shown in the "Lord Vader … Rise" scene from the film.
The shuttle looks a little awkward, the interior is very shallow as well as attack Shuttle Republic last year. Having said that, the model corresponds to the and film and is obviously a precursor of the beautiful Imperial Shuttle to walk on the original series trilogy. While it will appeal to casual fans the saga of Star Wars, Lego Star Wars dedicated fans will be attracted to the new figures and the high number of pieces of the set.
