I don’t feel like an old women yet, I maybe an older woman but I am certainly not just plain old . I have found a couple web sites that I love to shop on but it has taken me a long time to figure out what to look for and how to protect myself . I know how to check out the BBB online symbol, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy when I see it.
The reason I mention age is that I have found out my daughters have some sort of “mad” online shopping skills . They are breaking me in slowly but surely. The sites I like to use have proven to be reliable and way too much fun to shop on. I still get antsy when I find something I would like to get on a website that is new to me. I often find myself doing a little shopping for reviews or knowledge of the web site .
I had a real shock when I decided to learn about one big retail chain that I like. The thought had never entered my mind that there could be so many “I hate” sites devoted to certain stores. Online shopping seems to be the way things are going. I know I would certainly prefer to shop from the comfort of my own home and then move my package off the front porch then go out and fight crowds and traffic. Just saving on the gas alone makes online shopping look like an excellent idea.
One thing I really like to do before buying anything is to email the company and see how long it takes for them to respond to me. Obviously the faster the better. I like to know I can contact them through email and they will answer my questions right away, it makes me feel safe when going through the whole ordering process. My favorite stores offer personalized gifts . I’m always buying unique personalized kids gifts for my grandchildern, personalized wedding shot glasses for my daughters friends who seem to be getting married in the handfuls, and of course personalized retirement gifts for my friends who are also not yet old.
