Haynesworth Finally Passes Exam in Football Gambling

As the Washington Redskins continued to be 1 of the worst online sports wagering values on the board, sports betting frustration reached a boiling point a year ago. New coach Mike Shanahan arrives at Washington with much fan fare after a hugely productive run at Denver where he won two Super Bowls and had the Broncos in regular playoff contention. There is nowhere to go but up following a 4-12 season and Shanahan is surely the man with the plan starting with his unforgiving tactic towards Albert Haynesworth, who wasn’t allowed to practice because he wasn’t able to pass a conditioning test.

Football betting handicappers became rather amused at the frequent failures of Albert Haynesworth to pass a fitness test so as to practice in prep for the Football wagering preseason. While NFL training camps are typically mundane and tedious the Haynesworth saga provided devotees and the media with something that rivaled a daily soap opera or reality television series for practically two weeks.

With Haynesworth ultimately proving his physical fitness, he was allowed to put on pads and practice with his teammates for the first time under new head coach Mike Shanahan. Shanahan got to most from his possibility to make a statement to his new squad that he won’t bend the policies for the 2-time All-Pro Haynesworth or his $100 million contract.

Due to the fact he skipped the Washington Redskins offseason conditioning program, Haynesworth was the only competitor that Shanahan compelled to take the test. Considering he was hoping to force a trade and also considering he said that he preferred his own trainer, Haynesworth boycotted the squad training sessions.

Haynesworth was reported to have wanted out from Washington due to the fact he was not pleased about an imminent swap for a 3-4 defense for the 2010 year, which the Redskins will enter as longshots with the NFL preseason odds.

After Friday’s game versus the Buffalo Bills, though, Haynesworth is coming around to the idea of a 3-4 defense. He’s admitted that it is different than what he’s used to, but it is turning out to be a quality defense. The fact that Washington had a 42-17 win over the Buffalo Bills may have something to do with his latest change of heart.

Several of Haynesworth’s Washington teammates were not afraid to label him as “selfish” and they were not pleased about his antics. Haynesworth’s issues with the conditioning exam became something of a national joke and a normal highlight for daily papers and sportscasts. He did stay afterwards to work with Washington coaches to get ready for how to play the new defensive scheme throughout the time that he wasn’t allowed to practice.

Haynesworth closed a 7-year deal with $41 million a year ago and was expected to be a crucial asset with the football probabilities for the Washington Redskins but was a major disappointment in 2009 as he was sporadic and not totally in shape. He had several injuries that induced him to miss 4 matches last season.

As Shanahan has brought in new quarterback Donovan McNabb from Philadelphia and a new attitude that is all business, the Washington Redskins commenced camp with optimism that they might become something of a Football wagering surprise.
