BA First Film

While there have been movies, there have been B-Movie Traditionally low-budget, just matters of advertising, B-movies usually genre Films (sci-fi, Western, Horror, etc) with renowned actors little or nothing, often by specialized studies small and put out as if on an assembly line.

Although less features, early B movies were popular and profitable and produced their own separate group of Stars other than the main actors of the day. They also provided an entry into Hollywood for many European Directors. Already at the age Gold, a night at The Movies usually consisted of a newsletter, an Episode of a series (such as Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers), cartoons and several double aspect of a film Series B and the main feature a "movie." B-movies were the first film and always thought that the film is less important.

In the 1930s, gender was predominant B-movie Western. In the 40s, black gangster films and film became popular. In the 50s, with the emergence of rock and roll, the Cold War, and the teenager as a social force, the series B broke into a wide variety of areas: rock and roll films, melodramas juvenile offenders and hot rod, pastiches sci-fi/horror nuances Red scare, and foreign films dubbed into English (eg Godzilla Japanese, Italian Hercules).

The 60s B-movie saw the rise of Hammer Films of Great Britain, the films of "beach" with Frankie and Annette and Company, Elvis movies (which, despite the singer starred in more than World famous, were decidedly low-quality productions), Nudie Cuties Russ Meyer, and many masterpieces of low-budget Roger Corman. In addition, social changes of the 60 were reflected in the B movies of the day long before they reached the "legitimate" movies. Of course, the most famous example would be Easy Rider.

Loosening moral attitudes of the '60s also helped Birth the first film gore, courtesy Herschell Gordon Lewis. Although Lewis contributed greatly to B movies, his most influential film Blood Feast was the real first movie he achieved. While mild by today's standards, at the time was considered very serious. Movies like this and Color Me Blood Red paved the way for current trend of "torture porn" movies like Saw and Hostel series.

Although the seeds of farm were planted in the 60s, which definitely were produced in the grindhouse scene 70. martial arts movies were a big favorite in the whole grindhouses country. Produced in Hong Kong, often by the legendary Shaw Brothers studio, and dubbed into English before being distributed in the United States, these films made stars Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan and spawned an entire subculture that is still flourishing.

70 also saw the birth of the midnight movie phenomenon. Counterculture had entered his mind and what better place to enjoy a last-minute fuel that shows the drug of El Topo and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. At that time, all gloves were off. Pretty much was true taboo: blaxploitation, sexploitation, women in prison films, and perhaps most influential, hardcore horror-the best example of Tobe Hooper, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

All of this brings us to the 80s, the decade that the budget horror movie really low-boomed. The success of the cheaply made Texas Chain Saw Massacre Halloween and raised in the 70's Friday the 13th series, The Evil Dead movies, et al., and an explosion of terror '80 remained true. Many good B horror movie online resources exist as fatally-yours.com and theronneel.com . One of the main forces in B movies during this decade was Lloyd Kaufman and Troma pictures. Founded in 1974 by Kaufman, Troma was showcased in the 80s with movies as Surf Nazis must die and The Toxic Avenger.

In the 1990s, with the death of the grindhouse and the rise of television cable, lost B-movie theater locations, but survived because of the home video revolution. What once had been recorded in a Grindhouse was appearing on the shelves of your local Blockbuster. direct to video productions thrived, mostly action films and erotic thrillers starving.

The rise of the digital age has been live for film B in the direct to Dvd Movies, which often successful sequels of films made by major studios like Disney. The current cost of films averaged $ 50 million to $ 70 million. With advances in digital technology, movies can be respectable for a fraction of that cost, to a low-budget films "too good to be true" proposition for any Movie Studio concerned about their bottom line-which is every movie study.
