Yerba Mate: The coffee healthier alternative to energize, detoxify

I was introduced to a natural product called yerba mate (pronounced yerba-tae mAh) two years ago, initially as a component of dietary supplements and appetite suppressants, and later as a healthy alternative to coffee and some teas as a reinforcement energy.

Turns out, the more I learned about this fascinating natural plant, there are many therapeutic applications that can be used to promote health general, and not just another energy drink such as coffee break and, well, energy drinks!

My interest in the use of yerba mate as a drink energy boost from the fact that I am very sensitive to caffeine, specifically to caffeine that is present in America's favorite caffeinated beverage, coffee.

Do not get me wrong, I'm still known to occasionally enjoy a latte at Starbucks, but it is much less frequently than it used be after having found an alternative that not only contains no calories, but also offers a host of health benefits from it. That's a win-win for me!

You see, the yerba mate is chemically very similar to green tea, and I'm sure you've heard all the studies and research that have touted the antioxidants and health benefits of green tea and black.

Well, it's quite possible that yerba mate may even be a little higher in some of these micronutrients beneficial and natural compounds, it is just not as well known or popular, perhaps because of the name and not promoted as a "tea."

This, combined with the fact that some find the taste of the yerba mate is not desirable compared with traditional teas may be the reason why it has not grown yerba mate popularity gangbusters. This can be easily remedied, however, mixing it with a natural sweetener, or what I do sometimes is mixed with a little organic tea mint flavor then this is quite attractive.

Since yerba mate is sold in health food stores, tea bags that are ready for fermentation and also just as convenient as green tea, may just be a little harder to find.

Some of the benefits that have been reported for yerba mate are increases in energy that are maintained and not followed by the typical "Crash And Burn" associated with other beverages with caffeine such as coffee, strong tea and energy drinks.

In addition, yerba mate is very high in natural antioxidants, which helps promote healthy skin, healthy heart, and reproduction of healthy cells which can translate into a reduced risk of cancer because the cancer is in fact unhealthy reproductive cells.

Not only that, but that some of the resistance of other benefits related to more speculative mate recently increased in the exercise because increased oxygen levels in the blood Production and healthier cells, a decrease in hunger or appetite, improve mood, accelerating the metabolism of calories, and even more attention. Sounds better than the benefits of coffee, eh?

I do not know about you, but Coffee it most definitely does not lead to any sustained energy or lack of an accident after the peak of energy, so that right there, this alternative is best for me and I suspect thousands of people suffering the same in other energy drinks.

Yerba mate has seized more awareness in communities more organic and health, I am pleased to say that is spreading to areas of the world that were previously more uninformed about the benefits of natural alternatives and healthier options.

It seems that today everyone is more aware of what they are putting into their bodies, and there is an over abundance of information health resources available to everyone, not just the "culture of niche or niche communities.

People are looking for ways to improve your health and promote longevity and decrease the risk of catastrophic and quality of life altering illnesses and health problems, and yerba mate is a hot drink that is a good fit with that set of values and goals in today's more health conscious society.
