Transport Companies – Top calls Funniest signs
The long hours on the road are an inevitable hazard of delivery work and long-distance transport, so any source of entertainment (no matter how minor) to fill the silence is a Welcome relief. Back in the days before iPods and stackers twelve, the best fun you could have on his truck with his clothes on, was shooting the CB and gets into conversation with a bunch of like minded strangers. (Or just friends you had not met yet!)
In the 70's and 80's, Films like Smokey and the Bandit, Breaker Switch and convoy resulted in a hobby and sometimes outrageous bawdy call signs (or manipulation), which truckers and transport companies used as their language particular. Mobile phones have all but put an end to the phenomenon of CB, but throughout the world there are still some die-hard 'rubber ducks frequenting the airwaves of the transport companies and do it your way!
Call signs are usually about someone's appearance, a curious incident on the road, a feature of personality (or default!) or a name drivers. Usually in the industry of labor, a nickname or call sign is decided for you by your partner or destination and who have no voice and vote, and is designed to give others a big smile on your account! So I recognize it's time to jump on the bandwagon and make fun of their work delivery more than a glance at some of our oldies, goldies (and a few really strange things!) and get inspired to think of your own to make fun of their peers! Come on – you know you want it!

ol Stormin 'Norman – Well, obviously – but she becomes a young woman! Go figure!
Twin Haemaroid Floyd – What? They come as twins?
Yogi Bear and Boo Boo – For big hairy truck driver and his companion soon, or maybe it was his wife.
Lord Lucan and Nanny – As in 'You Lord Lucan here, with the nanny of his gun. (Mmm, well read if a bit in bad taste)
cue – a popular with the brigade of the head bright. (Apparently, common in transport companies throughout the world!)
Vanilla Shake – See but pasty white too! Bless!)
Kermit the brick – Fluorescent road kill?
Carries the slaughter – the hope of haulage work is better than his spelling.)
Daughter of Slaughter – no kidding! (Or was Dorta from Slaughter?)
The Ginger Ninja – attention that there! There!
Lex Tex – apparently the name given to a trucker dyslexic Texan who could not read road signs, and ended up causing a massive pile up on a highway U.S.! I was on the blacklist of hundreds of transportation companies! Not nice of you!
Hutch – always traveled with their pet rabbits in the cabin of his truck. Mmm, what doc with THAT?
Munchkin Clutchpedal – A cute little boy had to have changed the clutch in his truck before that the carriers would take him on!
Teddy Tea Pot – Short and stout – enough said!
Slim Jim – Well, the adaptation of the CAP twenty years, but now this guy is huge! Be careful – the names of stick!
Two timer Tom – It's not a womanizer, a guy who could never surrender their job properly the first time!
Prehistory Haemaroid – No, no need to worry! Apparently this man just said I wanted something no one else would think, and wanted him to make people laugh. Job done!
So next time you are trapped in the fast lane grandma, get over the rack, place the hammer down and see if you can think of a few good of your own! Ten and four great friends, I think that got us a convoy!
