documentary Films, as its name implies, are films produced with the intention of being a visual documentation of a concept or event.
A documentary intended to be much more like a piece of journalism than a piece of entertainment or expressive art.
Normally there is a voice narrative off passing along a documentary film with the narrator describing what is seen in a practical way without any dramatic reading.
The documentaries are often made to further explore an event or subject of the story that has remained a mystery, has been controversial, or misunderstood filmmaker view or underexposed.
Documentaries have also been made simply to record an event of personal interest to the filmmaker.
Biographies, events sports and music, a film collection of images collected from government sources, and so on and so forth all become subjects of a film documentary.
Documentary Film Makers are usually the writers, Directors and Producers. You can often act as cameras as well.
The Documentaries are more often on television, but in more recent times has been more than they did the most direct to video, made-for-video directly, video, or directly to DVD which never played for the first time on television or in theaters, but only became available for home viewing.
