
Hollywood Comedy Movies – From Charlie Chaplin To Jim Carrie
Comedy movies started long back in 1900. The film, which will was produced by Thomas Edison Kinetoscope. This could also be considered the first to show the comic aspect of a film. Charlie Chaplin was the last comedian to have acted in a silent film, and his films during the decade 1930 were without dialogue, although they used sound effects.
When the U.S. entered World War II, Hollywood movies changed its course to the issues related to conflicts and Hollywood movies humor also inclined to military themes. The war era experienced a boom, when due to travel restrictions, almost a quarter of the money spent is spent in the cinema.
In the 1950s, the interest shifted to social situations or family-oriented Comedies. During that period the number of Hollywood comedy films declined. The 1960s saw a growing number of wide, full comedy star. In 1970, Hollywood comedy movies reflected the anti-war sentiment that prevailed then.
